Thanks and Giving

I happen to think that Thanksgiving is one of the best words in the English language. I love how we are led as a country to sit down for one day and give Thanks for what we are so fortunate to have. I love that for one day, our country gives to those less fortunate, meals and clothing. (Now, I'm not saying that our country is crass and doesn't give on any other day-but on Thanksgiving and Christmas, you really SEE what is given to those less fortunate.)

Since I won't be having family over on the holiday, and we plan on going to a dear friend's house for dinner, I'm not as stressed as I originally was at the beginning of this month. I also might still blog-but I promise no words. Only Snapshots of Thankfulness.

Oh-and thanks to Google Analytics, I discovered that I have one follower in the UK (Hi Terrie!!), one from Australia, one from Japan and one from Sweden!! How exciting! Hello world!!

I have always wanted to visit Japan, and it's funny, my princesses also love the artwork that comes out of Japan. They want to go too.

Sweden, funny story!! TRUE STORY! I dated a Swedish exchange student, many, many years ago. I was..uh.. sixteen I think. Anyway-I don't remember your name, man, I know it wasn't Sven. :0) You were a cool guy and I hated having to watch your plane fly away to Sweden that summer. **Sigh** ahh memories.

To everyone-thank you for your comments this week. I've needed the uplifting and positive spirit you all show so well. I love how we can come together from different backgrounds, different ages and opinions and yet all support each other with love and respect. If only the rest of the world followed our example, eh? I know...Idealism Alert! :0)

Happy Holidays to my American friends-be careful and safe while travelling if you are, hug those relatives tightly when you see them (even if your mother in law informs you that her turkey looked so much better twenty years ago when she cooked for 100 people in the snow.) Love To ALL!!
