Saturday Snapshots...These are MY kids?

Every time I look at Princess Rhiannon, I'm floored. She's turning into a young lady, a tween...and she's just gorgeous! I never thought my children would be so freakin' good looking!

Kayla is becoming so independent and smart. I can't believe I raised her. :0)

Giving Love

*YAWN* Oh, it's Saturday and I stayed up too late with CJ last night. The young prince didn't want to sleep in with me and so I've been stumbling around the house and the internet. I know I promised to pass on the awards I got yesterday. This is really, really hard. Because in all honesty, everyone is just so awesome, beautiful and happy! So, I only chose six....2 blogs per award. I am not handing out rules, because we all know how I am. If you accept, you can do what you choose. :0)

For Blogger Purrfection, I choose Tara at The Feel of Something New. She's relatively new to blogging, but I always enjoy her posts.

And Piedmont Writer for her Purrfection! She is also so thoughtful as to always leave me comments. And we know how much I love that!

For the Beautiful Blogger Award I want to pass on the beauty to Wen at OnWords and Upwards. She always has something thought provoking and honest in her posts.

Also to Lindsey at The Write Words. Lindsey writes beautifully and has wonderful topics in her posts. She is also holding a contest full of writer goodies!

For a good giggle on any given day, I visit Jade at Jade Hears Voices.  Oh, and you can't beat her pictures that look like the characters she writes.

Corey Schwartz is a mother of two and writing children's books. Thing 1 and Thing 2 are the perfect anecdote for a rough day. :0)



That's it cool kids. :0) I wish I could award one to everyone, well I could, but then it's just not as cool. :0) I love reading everyone's posts. I have to say this is the best community of writers in the whole world.

Saturday Snapshots

Well, the monster snow storm finally hit us in East Tennessee late yesterday and so far most of the day today. What I find hilarious is that THIS is a monster snow storm. (Okay, I'm being facetious, obviously TN is not used to snow and there is much more in the mountainous areas.)

The Royals were very excited, since they thought they would never see snow again when we moved here.

Yes, she did end up throwing that at me.

They don't sell sleds around these parts-the cardboard box almost worked, but the snow was too slushy

The young prince wasn't too sure about all this wet, white stuff, but he refused to go back in the house.

And don't forget the most awesome part of snow. Eating it! :0) 

Saturday Snapshots

Thank you everyone for Rhiannon's birthday wishes again! :0) She was really exited reading the blog and the comments you left. I was surprised when she asked to reply to everyone. Oh no-we may have a future blogger on our hands. I really need another computer. I'm surprised she didn't ask for everyone's phone number after she answered this which was hidden in her room.

(first thing in the morning, notice the lipstick since she didn't have to attend school?)

And so the rest of the day was spent mostly like this:

*Parental note* This is a tracfone, for which she has to earn her minutes with good progress reports at school and behavior at home. She can not text or access the internet. I know it seems crazy, but most of her relatives are out of state which is the main reason she got it. :0)

Then Aunt Melinda called her(on her "personal cell phone"-that's a direct quote) and asked if she'd like to go and get her ears pierced. Of course Princess Rhiannon agreed with a quickness that shocked her mother. The only thing I've ever heard from her about piercings was she NEVER wanted one. So, she got ready and found a nice, warm, oversized sweater so she won't steal her mom's anymore. :0)

I totally panicked the whole time she was gone. I worried. I chewed my nails. I thought about dialing her cell phone a million times. Forced myself not to. The court jester laughed at me, but we're talking about a girl that needed three nurses plus me to get a shot.

Apparently she needed Aunt Melinda's influence and a cell phone to get over her fear....

And for the other two, never fear. They also had a special day:
