May Already?!

Wow...April really hammered me to a pulp and it's already May. Great. This is awesome. I love new beginnings. **Deep breath in.....and exhale**

So, I'm not going to rant about my funk or my problems and in fact, I apologize for the selfish All About Me posts. But, I thank you all for your encouraging, funny, empathetic comments that get me through. Seriously, I'm a Leo and my ego needs the boosts you so selflessly give. Aaaawwww okay, moment over.

I have received two awards and want to pass at least one of them along. I'm not good with the whole passing it on, and not because I can't find anyone well deserving....it's because I can't find anyone that's not well-deserving. Then I have to search and see if you already have the award, or if you are an award free blog and that equals to a lot of time on my dinosaur of a computer. :0)

With that disclaimer out of the way. Here we go!

Sweet! I love this teddy bear and you are all welcome to totally grab him and put him on your blog if you wish. I do want to recognize and link to these sweet blogs too...

Okay, this one was awarded to me at times when I could barely see the silver linings in my life. So thank you, to all of you.  Please take this award if you don't already have it. Trust me, if all you do is read this blog and smile once in a while, I want you to have it. :0)

So this week, my plan is to write some productive blog posts while I work on my new writings. I'm not going to call them WiPs yet, but they could shape into something cool. We'll see. :0) Stick around!

Giving Love

*YAWN* Oh, it's Saturday and I stayed up too late with CJ last night. The young prince didn't want to sleep in with me and so I've been stumbling around the house and the internet. I know I promised to pass on the awards I got yesterday. This is really, really hard. Because in all honesty, everyone is just so awesome, beautiful and happy! So, I only chose six....2 blogs per award. I am not handing out rules, because we all know how I am. If you accept, you can do what you choose. :0)

For Blogger Purrfection, I choose Tara at The Feel of Something New. She's relatively new to blogging, but I always enjoy her posts.

And Piedmont Writer for her Purrfection! She is also so thoughtful as to always leave me comments. And we know how much I love that!

For the Beautiful Blogger Award I want to pass on the beauty to Wen at OnWords and Upwards. She always has something thought provoking and honest in her posts.

Also to Lindsey at The Write Words. Lindsey writes beautifully and has wonderful topics in her posts. She is also holding a contest full of writer goodies!

For a good giggle on any given day, I visit Jade at Jade Hears Voices.  Oh, and you can't beat her pictures that look like the characters she writes.

Corey Schwartz is a mother of two and writing children's books. Thing 1 and Thing 2 are the perfect anecdote for a rough day. :0)

That's it cool kids. :0) I wish I could award one to everyone, well I could, but then it's just not as cool. :0) I love reading everyone's posts. I have to say this is the best community of writers in the whole world.

Have a wonderful weekend! Here are a couple of Saturday Snapshots since I haven't done those in a while either.

The Royals

Wearing CJ's beanie she feels pretty darn tough. Can you tell? No more Princess, now I have a thug. Sheesh. :0)

Friday Fun

Woo hoo! It's Friday, kids. I had some incredibly good news last night and I'm dying to share. It has nothing to do with publishing or writing at all. I have a good friend that has been through some troubles for the past year and a half. Her father died a year ago and she hasn't been the same since. She's getting on a bus next week and going to come live with us. Now, we don't have a lot of room or a lot of money, but this girl is family. You know how it sometimes happens that you find a person who means so much to you...even when they let you down sometimes. Well, she's going to be here to help with the kids and my husband and the house so I can focus on writing. I'm so thrilled too that I'll have a friend here with me that I can talk to. Promise I'll still be here for my cool kids too, though! I have to be...look at these awards bestowed upon me last week!

Isn't he cute? I love a smart cat. Especially one that thinks I'm purrfect! Thank you to Jemi at Just Jemi and Shannon O'Donnell from Book Dreaming. I think you both are just purrfect too!

This Beautiful Blogger award truly flatters me, cool kids. Thank you so much to Jen at unedited. I love how her title is..unedited. :0) Take a visit to these blogs, please!

Tina Lynn at Sweet Niblets honored me with the Happy 101 Award. Thank you Tina, your blog is a happy place!

I can't recall the rules of each award, but I do know that the happy one is ten things that make me happy and the Beautiful one is to write seven interesting things about myself. I think I will combine them. How's that?

Beautiful Happies
1) IF it is fairly warm outside....I never ever miss an opportunity to dance/play in the rain. There is something so cleansing about jumping into a puddle and feeling droplets of water shower you. Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't have told you this.
2) My second child was born with an extra pinky toe. It was very small and very freaking cute! I can't help it. We did have it removed so that she could wear shoes and not be made fun of. The joke is that we cut out all of her niceness when we cut off that little toe. It's her favorite story.
3) I have been told by now friends that when they first 'saw' me that I looked like a real... well...bitch. It's always "shocking" that I'm so friendly. :(
4) I was born in the same little town where I had princess Kayla. In the same room of the same hospital. Very odd...considering I was not raised where I was born. Weird how life takes us on so many paths..weird and wonderful.
5) Those hugs from my kids when I got home from work(back when I was working)are fading too fast and they were the only hugs that really worked.

I shall pass on the Award Love tomorrow! I'm just really tired. It's been a long and tiring day! I thank you all so much for your support. I hope I can continue to keep you interested. At least once in a while. :0)
