I'm trying something new that I will share on WIP Wednesday. I'm writing from two different POVs. The antag and protag. Thoughts? Is it something frowned upon by the publishing world? I still want to write it that way because so far it's been fun! But your thoughts are always welcome!!
My life schedule sucks. I mean. Sucks. I'm up until about 2:30 am with the young prince. I get up at 6:15 am to get the Princesses moving and out the door to school. I come back home around 7:30. I try desperately to stay awake and spend time with CJ, do some housework or catch up on blogs. I fail. I go to sleep around 9:00 am. Some mornings I work and so I might not go to sleep but be getting ready. If I work that night, I sleep a couple of hours and then the Prince wakes up. I get the kids home from school and start them on their evening. What day is it??
Despite the weirdness of my days due to work; I love my new job. I had a rough night last night. Don't really know what happened but it led to a slight emotional breakdown which is sooo irritating. I'm hoping next shift is better. Which is tomorrow night. Yay!
What are you thinking about today?
Writing from two different POV's is fine as long as you don't head hop. It's usually okay as long as you skip a line in between to show the different POVs.
ReplyDeleteBeing in the restaurant business for almost 30 years, emotional breakdowns are a common occurence. It's a highly stressful job with a lot of competition. Just relax, take a deep breath and put your smile back on your face. It's not all bad.
I often write from more than 1 pov - I enjoy seeing the same world & plot from different perspectives. And writing the villain's pov is fun!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the next shift!
