Case of the Mondays

"Do you work at a job where someone asks if you have a case of the Mondays because you're a little cranky?"
I kind of love that line from the movie Office Space. When you are a stay at home mom, a case of the Mondays is a whole new thing. Like... a really busy whole new thing. So in keeping with that, I have a short post for you today. "Yay!" I hear the collective cheer.

Look! I was awarded the Humane award because I've managed to keep my kids alive for ten whole years! Just kidding. It's been one of those weekends, you know?

Pamela from Barbies to Words awarded me this very adorable award. And it's green. How can it get any better, honestly? The only rule that comes with it is to nominate ten other bloggers. I ask that you nominate who you can, just pay it forward. Or, if you are an award free blog and I failed to notice that, please forgive me and pretend nothing happened! :)

I've nominated these bloggers because of their content and their ability to somehow keep up with commenting on a pretty regular basis.

It's a busy day and an even busier week for me around here. My friend made it safely here from the west coast and now the poor thing is sick, sick, sick. I'm worried it may be pneumonia, so we may be visiting the ER tonight. We will see. So...I'm way, way behind in my comments and I hope you can all bear with me. I LOVE YOU COOL KIDS!

  1. Since mine have been alive for 14, I'll accept your award graciously.

  2. Thanks for passing on the award. :) I appreciate it.

Hope your friend is okay...the ER isn't a fun place to hang out at night. Or any other time, actually.

  3. Congratulations! And everday is Monday for me.

  4. Hope your Monday gets better and your friend is okay. Congrats on the awards :)

  5. Patti: I might need your advice on how to last 14..the ten year old is getting a little....uhm..snooty. :0)

Elizabeth: She is actually starting to feel much better, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

    Writer: Yes, I hear ya!

    Jemi: Thank you!

  6. Congrats on the award. Very cool. :)

  7. Oh man, then I gladly accept. And I am honored. Thrilled to have this bestowed on me. Especially on TEST day. Can't wait to show it off to the testees. *grin* Thank you, thank you Kristi.

Some of my kids have made it into their teens--and, they're alive, they're alive!!!!

I plan on entering your contest just as soon an I get the hiney in gear. And I will blog about it and do the sidebar thing, too. I am having another one soon and have been thinking about doing the form. It looks COOL and makes it easy on folks. Great job. =)

  8. It's awards season around here! Congrats and keeping the kids alive is not as easy as it sounds, especially for a stay at home mom whose constantly driven crazy!

  9. Congrats on the award, Kristi. I have another one waiting for you on my blog!

  10. Congratulations on your award.

I personally think you should get an award because you've kept your kids alive. My father used to say that's one sign of successful parenting!

  11. Wow! You kept your kids alive for TEN YEARS!!!! Only 80 more to go!!!

  12. Lindsey: Wait, I thought I only had to keep em alive until they move out?! :0) I'm kiddin'...sorta... :0)

PJ: Thank you, I agree that all of us parents deserve tons of awards for keeping kids alive

Robyn: You are certainly welcome and deserving of it.

Laurel! Thank you so much! :0)

Stephanie: Uh huh-you must be going through the same weekend I had. LOL

  13. Love Office Space. Congrats on the awards and I hope you're friend is okay. :(

  14. Thanks Kristi. I just posted it and paid it forward to some other bloggers. Of course, what I found funny, was that the few I really thought about giving it to were the ones who I think wouldn't care one iota about it, LOL, but they do help other writers something fierce.
