In honor of retro week :0) Here are a few quotes and sayings I found scribbled all over an old notebook. Unfortunately I did not scribble who came up with said quotes....sorry!

As you can see I had my opinions and beliefs displayed on my notebooks for everyone to see. I had the makings of a great protester. What do you remember quoting or listening to as a teen?

One of my favorites growing up in relation to your first one is in answer to anyone saying your weird, strange, etc. "I'm proud to be weird, why would I want to be a sheep?"
ReplyDeleteI've actually said this a lot, hmmm...
I was a teen?! I don't think I can remember back that far! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! :-)
What I remember hearing and what I signed up for were two different things. This is what I remember hearing A LOT:
ReplyDeleteTune in. Turn on. and something else that I forget.
Drugs, sex, rock and roll.
What I used to believe were left wing liberal things like:
All we are saying, is give peace a chance.
@ My name is PJ -- Tune in, Turn on, Drop out. By Timothy Leary. (Yes, I am that old.)
ReplyDeleteI followed all the groovies, but never really wrote anything down. I was more action than writer back then. I protested a lot, and was totally into recycling (Earth Day and all that). I protested Viet Nam and wore flowers on all my clothes, with beads, and Peace signs.
Fun post, brings me back.
This was really neat!!! Who doesn't love to experience a little blast from the past!
