Stay Tuned!

Tomorrow I have Lisa Desrochers coming by and I think I might have power again too!! :0) Hang on to your seats, I have a lot to talk about!

But for the sake of my car battery life and your blog reading time, today's post will be very short. I am borrowing a theme...Truth for Tuesday and I hope you enjoy....

While this has been one hell of a month. Yes, hell, not heck. I am thankful. I am grateful. I am blessed. Grace has fallen upon our family like rain. Even though I have screamed, cried, vomited and sat in total silent shock all in the past two weeks.....I am so lucky.

A local radio station held a radiothon for our Children's Hospital of East Tennessee. I happened to catch it as I was surfing  through radio stations on the way to pick up BFF from work. A young girl was on the microphone and explaining her chemotherapy process, the type of cancer she had and what radiation was like. She took it all in stride. And she was 14. FOURTEEN people. She may never make it to prom. She might never be married.

I have these three kids that are amazing. Each in their own way. They are healthy. They eat three meals a day and are clean. We have a roof over our heads. I have a way to cook, to clean and to even entertain. :0) I want to thank everyone for your kindest comments and let you know that you would all be doing the same thing.

We are a race of survivalists. Humans are so much stronger than we know. We have so much more soul in us than we are ever even allowed to know. So, thank you. But I'm not an inspiration, only an example of what each of us will do when it's time.

Truth: We are blessed.

  1. I'm so sorry you've had a rough couple of weeks, Kristi! But yes, we ARE a race of survivors. It WILL circle back to better times. We ARE blessed. Thank you for your beautiful post and for reminding us of what's truly important.

  2. I feel blessed every time I get all five of my kids in the same room. They're all mostly grown and never had nore than ear infections and tonscilitis for problems. Having so much good health in my own family makes me feel blessed.

Having so many thoughtful and understanding friends is also a blessing.

Thank you for sharing yourself today.
