Saturday's WC-2055 (WOOHOO!)
In honor of Nano, here is a quote I came across that is soooo true.
The heights by great men reached and kept, were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Sundays are days for my family to snack all day, watch football, play board games and generally just hang out together without pressures of any other scheduling. It's our day. I usually spend the first part of the morning making snacks and goodies for us to munch on through out the day. It has become a running joke that I'm not successful in the kitchen until I burn my finger. Well, I made potato salad today and while draining the boiling water, I burnt my finger. Yup, success! It got me thinking, without some burns and bruises of a first draft, we as writers are not successful until we spit out that first burnt rough draft. So, take each strike/mistake/burn as the sign of future success.
I want to share a great blog with you all today as well. Yaya's done it again, this time with her Red Wagon Flights....take a peek at this creative and friendly blog, here.
And here is an article that a fellow blogger pointed out and I figured I'd better share it here, too. It's a great article on the dangers of OVERTHINKING!!
Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow...Remember, there will be a giveaway party once I reach 30 followers-tell your friends! Uhm, but only if you think they'll like this blog. I'm not trying to get numbers for numbers sake, I really love the idea that I have that many friends. :)
